As well as my beloved but beleaguered Newcastle, I do like to keep an eye on other teams, such as my hometown club Richmond Town who are midway up the Wearside League. I also like to see Darlington doing well who are currently top of the Evo Stik Premier and are having a good battle with rivals Blyth Spartans. On top of that I would love to see Gateshead United win that National League and get into League 2 with Hartlepools, Carlisle and York for them to play. Love football.

Yeah, I agree with you about the local football on top of the main money orientated football. It's a shame that more people don't support the lower leagues. I'm getting sick to the back teeth of this money bags game that we watch now. Yeah it's good at times but it's a very unfair and extremely un-level playing field.
London rules with a few added extra's from the north west thrown in. The rest can have the scraps. I'd love for fans to start going to all the local games and deserting the money bags clubs. Not to shut them down of course but to show the FA and all the rest of the greedy takers and bias crew that we are not going to fund their extravagance, anymore.
I could go on and on but I know you get my point. But anyway, I totally agree with your thinking.

Gateshead have slipped up a bit and just like Man City keeping a grip on the premiership, Brighton doing the same in the championship. Well in the National League Forest Green are clinging onto that league, though its tight, Cheltenham mightve overtook them actually. I've been watching the EBAC Northern League all season, and its a dogfight at the top between Blyth Spartans and Darlington, though Salford City have a few games in hand. Gateshead are at home in the last qualifying round of the FA Cup this Saturday having just come in, then its the 1st round proper (the draws on BBC2 on Monday at 7pm. Teams who get through at this stage get £12,500 which is great for a non league club.
