This is a forum for Newcastle fans to interact. Anyone else can join as well, it's just that I'm a Newcastle fan so I've set it out for Newcastle chat. Feel free to throw in some suggestions to make the forum better on the eye and in terms of ease of usage. I'll try and take as much onboard as possible and try to sort things. Let's try and make a forum where people can chat and have a bit of fun and a few heated debates, maybe. Obviously all in good banter without malice. I haven't made any hard and fast rules up yet. It's brand new, so let's make the rules together so we can know the boundaries whilst not imposing too many restrictions. I'll try to make this user friendly in every way with everyone being able to have their say. Anyway, I'll introduce myself. My names Don. I reside in a village called Trimdon. I am married and have grown up children. I also have 2 dogs, both cross breeds. I drive a . Actually I won't tell you what I drive because it's what my son describes as an embarrassment. I've been a Newcastle fan all of my life as have my sons, who just seemed to support the club without any coaxing from me. ....ok that's maybe a white lie. My wish for the club is to always have an Alan Shearer in a never ending cycle because it's players like him who have a never say die attitude and a loyalty that makes you proud to be a fan and to make you realise that when things get bad, there's always light at the end of the tunnel. I'll never forget the days when we would put our big overcoats on and scarves and flat cap. We would jump onto old chuggers flat bed truck and head for Newcastle. We would stop at moist Maureen's cafe on the way to nourish ourselves on her never to be forgotten breakfasts and pint pot of tea, then back onto the flat bed to finish the journey to Newcastle where we would park up at Harry Braithwaites house and all walk down to the metro centre for a days shopping, even though the metro centre didn't even exist. It didn't matter to us because we knew that one day it would and we would one day wear some good clobber. Once we got over the disappointment of the metro centre not existing, we would walk to the ground and slip the groundsman a few bob to let us in. He didn't mind taking the extra few bob off us as it helped his family out. We didn't realise that we could have got in for nothing, because we actually worked there too, as groundsmen and this was when there was no game on and we had to sort the ground out. We got our own back on the groundsman though, when we realised he duped us. We booted his head in and ripped his flat cap up and sprayed his whippet with gold spray paint that wasn't even invented at the time. But we didn't care. Well. enough about me, how about you introduce yourselves.

Welcome Hayseed,
Put as much of your thoughts in as you feel and give this a chance to get off the ground. It could end up a good forum. Plus, if you have any thoughts on how the forum should look or things to add, I'll see what I can do. Pass the word on and let's see if we can build it up.

Hey Don.
With footymad being in the horrible state that it is, this could work out well. We'll see if we can pump it up a bit. I'll get on with an introduction as well then.. My name is Shawn. I'm actually a Canadian toon supporter. Even stranger, I don't have any ties to Newcastle whatsoever. Just grew up watching the prem in the Shearer era and the obsession started from there. I had planned to go to my first game last year but I got a new job and to be honest, flying over to see Carver manage a shite team wasn't a big miss. Looking to come in the fall of this year. Hopefully it'll work out this time.
Anyways, hope this forum works out.

Yeah I hope it all works out for you to fly over and see the Newcastle in a much better fettle than we've been used to. Whether we live on the moon or far away places here on Earth - if we have one thing in common, it's our support of Newcastle United and it doesn't require a close city bond to do so, like you prove, as well as me, because I don't live in the city. I live about 30 odd miles away but I'm a lifelong supporter... but no more a supporter than anyone else who supports the club and no less than anyone who lives close by. Like I said, we are all in common in that respect with our love for the club. Anyway, this forum will take time to get right and running properly but it's here to be used and to be used in equal measures by all. Basically we can all make the right rules and make those rules a minimum so that we can all say what's on our minds. Feel free to make any suggestions about what would look good or may benefit the forum and all will be taken into consideration. I'm easy going and open to anything within obvious reason. I'd really like this forum to be for everyone and if that means adding in a part for heated debates or whatever to keep the adult fisticuffs out of minors eyes, then I can do that and make it invisible to anyone who isn't a member, plus stick an over 18 warning on it. You know, that type of thing. Obviously not yet but if this place builds up then I'd have to make a lot of changes with the help of those who join, plus I'd have to add the odd global moderator and moderator here and there, making sure that we have extremely unbiased attitudes and giving people a chance. What do you think?

Hey, Smorgan: This is a long shot I know...but, I was watching Newcastle on youtube called magpies 24/7..episode 3 where they were in America pre-season and up pops a man called Steve Morgan. I just wondered if it was you and you'd travelled over to watch the pre-season friendlies. Like I said, I'm probably barking up the wrong tree but it just got me thinking with your name being Smorgan.

Alright lads and lasses, I'm Pete 52 from Richmond in Yorkshire. I've supported Newcastle all my life (my mother was a Geordie). My first match was Leeds away 1976,we drew 1-1 and it was scary 56,000. I got used to that later and always used to go in the leazes (I lost me shoe once, I was only a kid and I was crying me eyes out as I thought I'd get a good hiding off me dad. I got it back).Im writing from hospital and I'm here 3 times a week having dialysis, so I can only go to Sunday matches.feeling a bit better about our season than last, and fair play to Ashley for digging his pockets, but I wish we'd sort some capable defenders out. I'm hoping we get some decent football chat on here, and not some of the negativity on other sites (if we're doing shite, criticise, but get behind the team).

Aye, welcome mate and I agree, I'd like it to be a positive forum in the main at least where Newcastle is concerned but I also see that fans have points to make on the negative, which is fair enough on the points made side. However, I'd like this forum to be a fair for all so every person feel they can put their point across without hindrance. Anyway mate, I hope your hospital stays aren't too bad for you and hope things turn out well as time goes on, hopefully as you're posting on here as well as other forums to keep your spirits up whilst you are bored in there.

Hi, I`m peter, live in Cullercoats. First game was Chelsea at home 1969 season I think, we lost 1-0. Went to couple of the Fairs Cup games... Pecsi Dosza, Rangers, can`t afford season tickets, just have prawn sandwiches watching streams. I get the prawns at the fish quay tho, not from the streams.
Things are shaping up quite well I think after the debacle of last couple of seasons. Like to see a last minute move for Austin tho.

We just might make a move for Austin with Mitrovic serving a 3 match ban, although it'll depend on the price because I think 15 million is way too high for him, but stranger things have happened.
