Is this what we've come to as a club? How sad. How sad it is that Newcastle United have to offer a good manager the Earth in order to get his nod of approval. How sad is it that job interviews were for the potential employee to put forward their CV and perform an interview worthy of consideration for a job. It appears that in football, the employee with the good CV gets to interview the potential employer. The sickening thing is, this club has been battered so badly by unprofessional owners and board members, since before Ashley, up until the present day, with Ashley and co.
I Sincerely hope that this football club rises from the depths of hell and once again gives out an aura of greatness to any potential manager of the future and players alike.
If Benitez takes this job on, then I hope it's the last time I see a manager having to be begged. My hope is that Benitez (assuming he takes the job) helps to turn this club into a club that befits the loyalty of the fans in the City and worldwide.
Ashley: It's time to run this football club, as a football club, for the purpose of what a football club is for - which is to build a strong structure of people who's purpose is to strive to make this club compete at the highest level it can - or use every ounce of energy trying.
I want people begging to play for this club, not dictating to it.
