The vibes coming from him are mixed. To be fair, he knew what he was taking on. He's seen what he has to work with. He will know what he can add and who he can keep. He wants time to think it over. I say, have till the end of today and give us an answer by late today or sling your hook and let the club get on with bringing in a manager that doesn't want the whole world written into a contract. You may be a top manager but you do not have a club, yet. You have the chance to manage a big club and make it great. Do it and you will be a god. Walk away by today and you will walk away with my respect. Make us wait any longer and you better be out manager - because if you make us wait any longer than today and then turn us down, then you are a coward and can sling your hook, because you get no respect from me.
You signed a 3 year contract and your clause was to activate your exit should we get relegated, if you so desire. We're relegated, so either activate it or tear it up and resign the 3 years with the clauses any manager should require and stop asking for the world. It's Newcastle United you're taking on and you know what's required. Do it or do one.
